UNA VISION JAPONESA ACERCA DE LOS PALESTINOS
Esta carta es escrita por alguien que no tiene ningún arte ni parte de
ninguno de los lados de este conflicto. Por favor, tómate tiempo para
leerlo, y si te parece que esta reflexión reviste importancia, por favor
hazla conocer.
"Si tú estás completamente seguro de que Palestina, la nación, es una
existencia histórica comprobable a lo largo del tiempo, espero seas capaz de
responder algunas interrogantes básicas acerca de ella:
* ¿Cuándo surgió o fue fundada la nación Palestina, y por quién?
* ¿Cuáles eran los límites del país?
* ¿Cuál era su capital?
* ¿Cuáles eran sus principales ciudades?
* ¿En qué se basaba su economía?
* ¿Cuál era su forma de gobierno?
* ¿Puedes nombrar al menos un líder Palestino anterior a Arafat?
* ¿Fue Palestina reconocida alguna vez por algún país cuya existencia, en
ese tiempo u ahora, no deje lugar a interpretaciones?
* ¿Cuál era el lenguaje del Estado Palestino?
* ¿Cuál era la principal religión del Estado Palestino?
* Elige cualquier período histórico y dime cuál era aproximadamente el valor
de cambio de la unidad monetaria Palestina contra el dólar Estadounidense,
el marco Alemán, la libra Británica, el yen Japonés, o el yuan Chino en ese
tiempo.
* Y finalmente, dado que no existe el Estado Palestino hoy, ¿qué causó su
desaparición, y cuándo ocurrió ésta?
Si tú estás lamentándote por la caída de una nación alguna vez orgullosa de
sí, dime por favor: ¿cuándo fue una nación orgullosa, y de qué lo estaba?
Y aquí está la pregunta más sarcástica de todas: Si el pueblo al que tú
erróneamente llamas Palestinos son algo más que Arabes "genéricos"
recolectados (o expulsados) de todo el mundo Arabe, si realmente tienen una
genuina identidad étnica que les da derecho a la autodeterminación, ¿por qué
nunca intentaron obtener su independencia hasta que los Arabes sufrieron su
derrota devastadora en la guerra de los Seis Días, que todos ellos juntos
iniciaron contra Israel?
Espero que evites la tentación de rastrear los Palestinos de hoy en los
Filisteos del tiempo Bíblico: sustituir historia por etimología no va a
funcionar en este contexto.
La verdad debiera ser obvia para cualquiera que desee saberla. Los países
Arabes nunca abandonaron su sueño de destruir Israel; aún albergan esperanza
de conseguirlo. Habiendo el tiempo determinado el fracaso de uno tras otro
intento de lograr su maligno objetivo por medios militares, decidieron
intentarlo a través de un intermediario.
Con ese propósito, crearon una organización terrorista, cínicamente llamada
"pueblo Palestino" y la instalaron en Gaza, Judea y Samaria.
¿De qué otro modo podrías explicar el rechazo de Jordania y Egipto de
aceptar incondicionalmente la Margen Occidental del Jordán y Gaza,
respectivamente?
El hecho es que los Arabes que pueblan Gaza, Judea y Samaria tienen mucho
menos derecho de reivindicar una identidad nacional que esa tribu Indígena
que exitosamente apareció en Connecticut y California, con el propósito de
iniciar un casino exento de impuestos: al menos, esa tribu estaba motivada
por una finalidad constructiva.
Los llamados Palestinos tienen una única motivación: la destrucción de
Israel; y me consta que que esa motivación no es suficiente para
considerarlos una nación ni ninguna otra cosa salvo lo que son: una
organización terrorista que alguna vez habrá de ser desmantelada.
De hecho, hay una única vía para conseguir paz en el Medio Oriente. Los
países Arabes deben tomar conciencia y aceptar el fracaso de su guerra
contra Israel, y en tanto el lado derrotado, deben pagar a Israel
compensaciones por más de 50 años de devastación que han producido sin
cesar. La forma más apropiada de llevar a cabo tal reparación debiera ser la
remoción de su organización terrorista de la tierra de Israel, y la
aceptación de la histórica soberanía de Israel sobre Gaza, Judea y Samaria.
Eso, ciertamente, marcaría el final del pueblo Palestino. ¿Cuál decías tú,
otra vez, que fue su inicio?
Estás en lo cierto en tu entendimiento de los motivos criminales de su
fundación.
Me temo, no obstante, que tú, junto al 99% de la población de este planeta,
has pasado por alto el inicio de la Tercera Guerra Mundial (ellos la llaman
Jihad), unos pocos años atrás. El secuestro de la embajada de los Estados
Unidos en Teherán en 1979, un evento a que el último Premio Nobel de la Paz
ha fallado miserablemente en responder, puede muy bien ser tomado como el
día en que la Tercera Guerra Mundial saltó desde las páginas del Corán hacia
la realidad histórica. Rezo para que Estados Unidos e Israel conduzcan al
mundo a una victoria en esta guerra.
Atrévete y piensa en ello, no hay elección posible, seas Cristiano, Judío, o
aún, lo creas o no, un verdadero Musulmán.

A JAPANESE VIEW OF PALESTINIANS
This letter written by someone with no vested interest in either side really
nails it. Please take the time to read it, and if you agree with its
importance perhaps you will consider distributing it to your e-mail
distribution lists. It is important for people to know the truth......
" If you are so sure that Palestine, the country, goes back through most of
recorded history I expect you to be able to answer a few basic questions
about that country:
* When was it founded and by whom?
* What were its borders?
* What was its capital?
* What were its major cities?
* What constituted the basis of its economy?
* What was its form of government?
* Can you name at least one Palestinian leader before Arafat?
* Was Palestine ever recognized by a country whose existence, at that
time or now, leaves no room for interpretation?
* What was the language of the country of Palestine?
* What was the prevalent religion of the country of Palestine?
* What was the name of its currency?
* Choose any date in history and tell what was the approximate exchange rate
of the Palestinian monetary unit against the US dollar, German mark, GB
pound, Japanese yen, or Chinese Yuan on that date.
* And, finally, since there is no such country today, what caused its demise
and when did it occur?
If you are lamenting the low sinking of a once proud nation. Please tell me,
when exactly was that nation proud and what was it so proud of?
And here is the least sarcastic question of all: If the people you
mistakenly call Palestinians are anything but generic Arabs collected from
all over -- or thrown out of -- the Arab world, if they really have a
genuine ethnic identity that gives them right for self-determination, why
did they never try to become independent until Arabs suffered their
devastating defeat in the Six Day War?
I hope you avoid the temptation to trace the modern day Palestinians to the
Biblical Philistines: substituting etymology for history won't work here.
The truth should be obvious to everyone who wants to know it. Arab countries
have never abandoned the dream of destroying Israel; they still cherish it
today. Having time and again failed to achieve their evil
goal with military means, they decided to fight Israel by proxy.
For that purpose, they created a terrorist organization, cynically called it
the Palestinian people and installed it in Gaza, Judea, and Samaria.
How else can you explain the refusal by Jordan and Egypt to unconditionally
accept back the West Bank and Gaza, respectively?
The fact is, Arabs populating Gaza, Judea, and Samaria have much less claim
to nationhood than that Indian tribe that successfully emerged in
Connecticut and California with the purpose of starting a tax-exempt casino:
at least that tribe had a constructive goal that motivated them.
The so-called Palestinians have only one motivation: the destruction of
Israel, and in my book that is not sufficient to consider them a nation --
or anything else except what they really are: a terrorist organization that
will one day be dismantled.
In fact, there is only one way to achieve peace in the Middle East.
Arab countries must acknowledge and accept their defeat in their war against
Israel and, as the losing side, should pay Israel reparations for the more
than 50 years of devastation they have visited on it. The most appropriate
form of such reparations would be the removal of their terrorist
organization from the land of Israel and accepting Israel's ancient
sovereignty over Gaza, Judea, and Samaria.
That will mark the end of the Palestinian people. What are you saying again,
was its beginning?
You are absolutely correct in your understanding of the Palestinians
murderous motives.
I am afraid however that you, along with 99% of the population of this
planet, have missed the beginning of WW III (they call it Jihad) quite a few
years ago. The siege of the US embassy in Tehran in 1979, an event to which
the latest Nobel Peace Prize winner had so miserably failed to respond, can
be very well used as the day WW III stepped out of the pages of the Koran
and into the current events. I pray the United States and Israel lead the
world to victory in this war.
Come to think of it, there is no choice, be you a Christian, a Jew, or even,
believe it or not, a Muslim.
